A lot of the recent discourse about Barron Trump, President Trump’s youngest son, has had to do with his dating life. This particularly picked up after reports that he’d not only had a date at Trump Tower, but he’d closed down an entire floor for it. His brother and his father have given their public opinion about his dating life. But all reports seem to indicate Barron just isn’t focused on dating. At least, it’s not a priority.
In fact, the President even suggested a business for his son: TikTok. It all came as the President’s former TikTok producer, Jack Advent, celebrated news of a deal to keep the app running, with the suggestion that Barron could have a larger role to play in the company.

The President returned to the app this week, sharing a video from the Oval Office where he said, “To all those young people of TikTok, I saved TikTok, so you owe me big.” Then, he added, “And now you’re looking at me in the Oval Office.”
After months of delays, Trump signed an executive order that clears the way for investors to operate a US version of TikTok.
“President Trump delivered on his promise to save TikTok and the millions of Americans who run their businesses and get their unfiltered news through the app,” Advent told the Daily Mail in reaction to the deal. Advent was one of the people who introduced Trump to the social media platform, and he suggested young people should be on the new seven-seat board of directors.
“Young people are overwhelmingly the user base of TikTok. I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and maybe other young Americans to TikTok’s board to help ensure it remains an app young people want to keep using,” he said.
This all comes after reports that Barron Trump is very much interested in business. In fact, according to People, the youngest Trump isn’t focused on romance right now; he is interested in making a name for himself. “I don’t think that’s a big deal in his life right now,” sources told the outlet.
“Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others whom he is involved with in that area,” a source said. In fact, Newsweek also recently reported that Barron Trump was looking to start his own real estate company. People reported that he “wants to follow in his dad’s footsteps,” and added, “He is interested in business in general, developing properties, making money, and being involved in successful projects.”
There’s a big gap from real estate to TikTok, but that doesn’t mean we should discount the idea that the President will think his youngest son should be involved with the social media platform. He clearly sees TikTok as mainly a draw for young people, and he could think this is the perfect way for his son to put his business degree to good use, whether other people advise against it or not.
Barron Trump and TikTok? Stranger things have happened.
