WASHINGTON — Three Things to Know:
- Dry and sunny weekend
- Colder Monday
- Tracking showers Tuesday
Forecast:
Saturday: Mostly sunny, breezy and chilly. Highs: 42 – 47. Winds: S 5 – 10.
Saturday Night: Clear and cold. Lows: 29 – 36. Winds: S 5 – 10.
Sunday: Partly cloudy and milder. Highs: 48 – 52. Winds: W 5 – 15.
It will be a great weekend for outdoor activities with highs in the 40s Saturday and low 50s Sunday. Both days will also feature nice sunshine. It will still be noticeably breezy over the weekend, but nowhere near as windy as Friday. Plan on temps in the 30s for the Commanders game Saturday night.
A weak low pressure looks to fly across the region Monday night into Tuesday. Right now it looks like a purely rain event, but a mix with some snow is possible depending on when the precipitation arrives. Rain and showers will stick around for the first part of Tuesday before drying out in the evening.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both look very nice with partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures in the low 50s.
