WASHINGTON — Three Things to Know:

  • Warming trend this week
  • Rain Friday night
  • Rain Saturday

Forecast:

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. Highs: 56 – 66. Winds: SE 5 – 10.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows: 30s. Winds: WSW 5.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs: 53 – 58. Winds: NW 10 – 20.

It will be chilly, but not too cold, Wednesday morning with temperatures starting off in the 30s and 40s. Clouds will dominate most of the Wednesday forecast, but there will be occasional breaks of blue sky. Despite the mostly cloudy skies, temperatures will still make it back into the mid 50s to mid 60s.

Get the rain gear ready for Friday night and Saturday. It may be turning damp for the end of the week and start of the weekend, but at least it will be mild! Temperatures will climb into the low 60s both days despite lots of clouds with rain and showers at times. Most of Friday will be dry, just cloudy, but still a nice day to enjoy the January thaw.

Look for rain as early as Friday night after 7 p.m. Showers will last through most of the day Saturday with breezy winds.  A strong cold front will knock us back into reality with highs returning to the 40s Sunday.
