Forecast:
Saturday: Mostly sunny and warmer, p.m. isolated shower or storm. Highs: 80 – 85. Winds: SW 10.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy and mild, shower possible. Lows: 58 – 66. Winds: SW 10.
Sunday: Mostly sunny and very warm, isolated p.m. shower or storm. Highs: 86 – 91. Winds: SW 10.
Weather Conversation:
Mostly sunny Saturday with high temperatures back in the low-to-mid 80s. There is a slight chance of an isolated p.m. shower Saturday but the Preakness will be dry for all of the races. There is a better chance of a few showers Saturday night. Sunday will be even warmer, almost hot, with highs near 90, with partly cloudy skies and a low risk of a p.m. shower.
Real summer heat returns early next week with a stretch of 90s kicking off on Monday. The peak of the heat crests on Tuesday with temperatures as high as the mid 90s. Temperatures begin to slightly ease, but still remain in the mid-to-lower 90s even into Wednesday.
A very dry stretch of weather continues for the next several days with our next real chance for showers and storms not until next Wednesday. Right now, it looks a bit unsettled for the second half of next week, so fingers crossed we do get some much needed rain!
With the incoming rain chances, temperatures will finally begin to level back near average. Extended model guidance at least wants to level the thermometer towards a range in the 70s in time for the following weekend.
