Saturday: Cloudy, breezy and cool. Rain and showers. Highs: 58 – 63. Winds: E 10 – 20.
We have issued a Weather Impact Alert through Saturday for persistent rain that may impact your plans. Rain will continue to slowly overspread the DMV throughout Thursday evening with otherwise cloudy skies and cool temperatures.
The cloudy, cool-to-chilly and at times wet weather will persist through Friday and into Saturday. It won’t rain all day, but it will be hard to make outdoor plans around the off-and-on showers and periods of rain. Make sure you have an umbrella or rain jacket handy if you decide to venture outside for an extended amount of time.
Sunday looks milder with only a few showers but still cloudy. (though we may see a few breaks of sunshine). While still below average, it won’t be as cool with high temperatures heading back into the 70s.
The unsettled and unseasonable cool weather will, unfortunately, stick around for Memorial Day on Monday. It doesn’t look like a super wet day with occasional showers and mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Shower chances stick around all the way through Wednesday before we finally dry out Thursday.
