Anticipation for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding continues to build, and the hype has now reached the NFL world. On Thursday, June 11, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters and was asked whether he would be attending his superstar tight end’s nuptials to the 14-time Grammy winner.

As expected, Reid, 68, kept things moving, telling the press, “Can’t talk about it [the wedding]. Can’t talk about it.” However, he did discuss Kelce’s participation in the Chiefs’ offseason workouts, including the mandatory minicamp, which, according to ESPN, began on June 9 and wrapped up on June 11.

“Listen, he’s been here most of the offseason, if not the whole offseason. He’s been around, and it’s good to have him here,” Reid said.

He noted that Kelce did a “nice job” at the minicamp, adding, “it’s good to have him back in and rolling. He’s very excited. You see no distractions with that and the wedding.”

Reid’s cryptic response comes amid claims that Swift has reportedly cut one important guest from wedding planning. In a May 19 report from the Daily Mail, a source alleged that the pop star is keeping details about the “really, really, big” wedding from her future father-in-law, Ed Kelce, because he “can’t be trusted” to keep a secret.

“He’s sort of like a loose cannon,” one insider told the outlet. “Nobody knows what he’s going to say, so it’s kind of a controversial situation.”

They added that Ed “already gave out a lot of information about the engagement,” including when, where, and how his Super Bowl-winning son proposed to Swift.

Speaking with News 5 Cleveland in late August 2025, Ed revealed that Kelce popped the question earlier that month at his Missouri home. Ed explained that while Kelce had planned to wait for the perfect moment, Swift was reportedly growing “antsy.”

“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” Ed shared. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”
