Tonight: Partly cloudy, blustery and cold. Lows: 23 – 31. Winds: NW 10 – 15.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Windy and cold. Highs: 42 – 47. Winds: WNW 10 – 20 +.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear and cold. Lows: 30s. Winds: SW 5 – 10.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny and milder. Still breezy. Highs: 54 – 59. Winds: SW 10 – 15.
It’s a winter feel for not only the remainder of Monday, but also Tuesday. By tomorrow morning, low temperatures will be in the 20s across most of the area and below freezing in the District. With the wind, it will feel more like the teens and low 20s! Those are the temperatures that you should dress for tomorrow morning. A Freeze Warning has been issued for King George county in Virginia and Calvert and St. Mary’s county in Maryland for Monday night into Tuesday. These are the only counties left in our region where the growing season hasn’t ended. Throughout the day temperatures will stay in the 40s under a blend of sunshine and clouds.
Areas west of the Divide will continue to see snow in the highest elevations through Tuesday morning. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for this area. A few flakes may even sneak closer to the I-81 corridor late Monday night.
It will turn milder, though still unseasonably chilly, for the remainder of the week. Plan on dry skies and highs in the upper 50s to near 60 with lows in the 30s and 40s.
