WASHINGTON — Three Things To Know:

Forecast:

Thursday: Morning sunshine, giving way to partly cloudy skies. Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorm. Breezy and warm. Highs: 82 – 87. Winds: SW 10 – 15.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy and mild. Showers ending. Lows: 60s. Winds: SSW 10.
Friday: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs: 85 – 90. Winds: SW 10.

Weather Conversation:

Thursday will start off with a blend of sunshine and clouds before a round of showers and a few storms rain arrive after 2 p.m. as a cold front approaches. Showers and storms will be fairly scattered on Thursday, but a couple could be on the stronger side with gusty winds. The front won’t bring in any cooler temperatures… in fact, quite the opposite, we’ll end up near 90 degrees by Friday!

A stronger cold front will push through Saturday bringing in another round of scattered showers Saturday evening. Behind that front, temperatures will turn cooler for Sunday into next week. The forecast looks perfect for the Commanders home and season opener Sunday at 1 p.m. with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s.
