Parisian label Sandro has unveiled the new look of its long-standing Paris flagship, on the corner of rue Vieille du Temple and rue des Francs Bourgeois, in the Marais district. The store had been closed for renovation for several months, and has now reopened its doors to reveal new-look interiors developed with Haos Studio and Atelier Franck Durand. The renovation marks the start of an upgrade plan for all the stores operated by Sandro, a label founded by Evelyne Chetrite.

The Paris store’s retail area is unchanged, extending over 130 square metres dedicated to womenswear and 90 square metres for menswear. The two sections are separate but interconnected, one having its entrance on rue des Francs Bourgeois and the other on rue Vieille du Temple. The interiors have been entirely rearranged, aiming to break with the space distribution pattern of a traditional store. They are set out as a series of alcoves designed to showcase Sandro’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections as though in separate dressing rooms.

The interiors’ look is inspired by a minimalist aesthetic, featuring a limited selection of materials including steel, solid oak and stone. The designers opted for furnishings with exposed joins, made using certified wood sourced from sustainable logging operations, and for textures like low-environmental-impact roughcast and lacquer.

For the lighting, instead of the uniformity that is usually the rule in fashion retail, they went for a mix of exposed spotlights and vintage fixtures, creating areas of different light intensity. Occasional period pieces, for example a 17th century Portuguese counter, are scattered throughout the store, reinforcing the interiors’ domestic feel.

The store’s new visual identity gives a taste of the concept that will be exported outside France as existing Sandro stores will gradually be renovated, or new ones opened. Sandro currently operates over 750 monobrand stores worldwide.

The label’s next openings are scheduled in Switzerland, with addresses in Lausanne in December 2026, followed by Lugano in February 2027 and Zurich in March 2027. Then the new concept will cross the English Channel, reaching Sandro’s London flagship store on Regent Street in April 2027.
