Several events are scheduled for late summer and early fall 2026, including competitions in Northern Virginia, Richmond-area communities, Virginia Beach, Lynchburg and other locations. Dates and times can change, so fans should check with event organizers before making a trip.
Archery takes aim across Virginia
Archery has a particularly strong schedule in Virginia this fall.
At Twin Lakes State Park in Green Bay, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation has scheduled an introductory archery program for August 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. to noon. Additional sessions are scheduled for September 7 at 1 p.m., September 19 at 11 a.m. and September 27 at 1 p.m. The program costs $5 per participant, requires advance registration and is designed for participants age 10 and older. Great Meadow in The Plains continues its Saturday evening polo series.
