When does the January transfer window open and close in Serie A?

The new year is upon us, but Serie A sides will have to wait a touch longer before they are able to complete any transfer business: Here is a reminder of the key times and dates heading into the 2026 January transfer window.

When does the Serie A transfer window open?

The Serie A transfer window will open on January 2. This is the same as LaLiga, but one day later than the Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, whose windows open on January 1.

Some teams already have deals lined up, such as Milan and their signing of Niclas Fullkrug, who has already been training with the team at Milanello, but they will have to wait until the window formally opens before the German is officially unveiled as a new signing.

When does the Serie A transfer window close?

This year, the Serie A transfer will run until February 2. The window is scheduled to close at 19.00 GMT (20.00 CET) on February 2, which aligns with the Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. The LaLiga window will also close on January 2, but a few hours later at 22.59 GMT (23.59 CET).
