Despite Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s black-tie dress code for their July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City, not every guest stuck to the formal attire. In fact, NFL players George Kittle and Robert Tonyan made a memorable entrance by donning Dumb and Dumber-inspired tuxedos—one power blue, the other bright orange—after the ceremony.
During a July 23 appearance on the Chris Simms Unbuttoned podcast, Kittle explained that he and Tonyan changed into the over-the-top outfits after watching Kelce and Swift exchange vows. He also said they’d given “Travis a heads up” about their plan.

“The best part of it was we changed backstage, and the first person that we saw walking out was Travis and Taylor, and they both just broke out laughing at us,” Kittle recalled, adding, “I was invited to that wedding to bring vibes and have a good time and party. So, we fulfilled our side of the bargain.”
Elsewhere in the episode, the San Francisco 49ers tight end described the star-studded event as “fantastic” and said he had “so much fun.”
Swift’s light-hearted reaction to Kittle and Tonyan’s outfits stood in stark contrast to earlier reports claiming that some guests were “frustrated” with her in the lead-up to her and Kelce’s big day. In late June 2026, Hollywood insider Rob Shuter reported that the “Love Story” singer’s efforts to keep details about her and Kelce’s wedding private hadn’t been well received by everyone.
“It’s a wedding, not a Middle East peace summit,” one insider told Naughty But Nice. “People have kids, jobs, businesses, and travel plans. They’re being asked to block off two full days and just wait for instructions. Guests are frustrated.”
Another source echoed these concerns, saying, “Taylor and Travis are taking the secrecy too far. Everyone understands wanting privacy, but at some point it starts feeling like they don’t trust the very people they’re inviting.”
Even longtime friends of the power couple had reportedly reached their limits. “People aren’t angry—they’re annoyed. The message they’re hearing is, ‘We don’t trust you enough to tell you where you’re going.’ That’s frustrating when you’ve rearranged your entire schedule to celebrate the couple.”
